Acros 100
With this black and white film being very specific to its speed, It truly puts out, even when in evening overcast settings. When the early mornings of winter hit, highlights twinkle the right way. In the gloom and shadows of overcast alleys, the contrast punches, while bringing fun film flecks! The refined tones of the black and white are perfect in those well-lit scenes, whereas the tone of the film shifts in low-lit scenes. Auburn almost. Curious? Further study will need to happen.
I don’t always have a whole ton to say about black and white film, but the simple notion of light and composition, are the leading factors to truly understanding black and white film.
Build an understanding of film speed, prepare yourself for the environmental conditions, believe in the vision. In your vision. Film photography is not an easy venture. It costs. Your time, your money, if that’s all you value. But once you accept the truth about it, you understand that it’s one of the most continual ventures to embark upon. So much to gain, so much to lose. Maybe that’s what makes photography human. You will fail, but you will also create wonders to invoke if something as small as a thought. Perhaps it’ll have the magnitude to create a feeling.
So at the end of the day, create!
