Hello gorgeous! This right here is my number one go to for effective black and white shots. I always keep two rolls in my fridge at any given moment. This roll was an expired roll, by a year, and it has a look to it, that I truly cannot get over.

There is heavier grain in low-lit scenes, however I attribute that to the condition of the film being expired. Outside of that factor, this stock really checks off all my boxes, in terms of overall quality.

The most fascinating thing about this film is that even though it is a black and white film, the chemical process required is not the traditional black and white process, but rather C-41, or color process. The film still comes out as black and white it just runs different. XP2 and I are very much alike, and I think that’s another reason why I love it so much.

There is only one downside to this stock, and it is unfortunately the cost. Depending on where you go, you’re looking anywhere around $16 for one roll. In comparison, you could get two rolls of HP5 for roughly the same cost. It can be a tough decision to make, but if I know I need quality results, then I throw down my card for this stock every time!
